Flying and waiting and flying some more
Panama City, Panama

Panama City, Panama

We left Cusco early AM, had a short layover in Lima and about 4-5 hours in the El Salvador airport before departing for Panama City. We did get to see the last few games of Djokovich over Federer and the first three sets of Nadal and Murray (US Open) while sipping pilsners and having dinner at the El Salvador airport.

We arrived late at our hotel in Panama City and Barbara could not handle the idea of catching 4 AM shuttle back to the airport for our short hop to Isla Colon. Our Gamboa Tours driver, Hestor, and the hotel clerk, Jaime Salinas, worked together (see letter) to get us on a later flight the next day. YAY!
